Founded in 1874, the Rieker shoe factory gained its initial popularity among northern Italians. 

Soon, Rieker gains widespread popularity throughout Central Europe thanks to its pristine reputation for quality footwear. Relentless work to identify and satisfy customer needs leads Rieker to 30 years of continuous growth in the footwear market! 

In the early 1970s Rieker Holding was opened in Switzerland and Rieker's production went global.  Currently, Rieker employs approximately 20,000 people worldwide. Most of the employees are located in Morocco, Slovakia, Tunisia and Vietnam, where Rieker's largest manufacturing facilities are located.  

Today, Rieker supplies footwear and accessories to more than 9,000 retailers in Europe, the US and Asia.
